The import process creates customers automatically if they don't exist, creates bookings for the mapped classes with pricing based on your class single price, and sets attendance status based on the Bookwhen data. You'll get a summary showing how many customers were created, bookings imported, and attendance records set. The import is smart about avoiding duplicates - if a booking already exists for the same customer, class and date, it will just update the attendance status instead of creating a duplicate.
