Classta Events: Simple ticket sales for workshops and one-off events

Classta Events let you sell tickets for workshops, retreats, and one-off events directly from your booking page. They're built for simple ticket sales — straightforward setup, clear limits, and no recurring schedules.

What are Events?

Events are single-date offerings with one or more ticket types (e.g. General Admission, VIP). Each type has its own price and capacity. Customers choose a type, enter their details (and optional attendee names), pay via Stripe, and receive a confirmation email with a ticket link they can show at the door (or use a QR code from the email).

Where they appear: Published events are shown in two places:

  • Dedicated Events page — A full page at classta.co/events/{instructor} (e.g. classta.co/events/yourname) with its own title, description, and logo. You can tailor this page for events only.
  • Events section on your main booking page — An Events block with a link like #events so visitors can jump straight to events.

Who can use Events: Events are enabled per account. If you don't see an Events tab in the admin, contact support to have it turned on.

How to set up an Event

  1. Open the Events tab

In the Classta admin dashboard, go to Events (if you have the feature).

    Create event

Click Create event and fill in:

    • Title (required) — e.g. "Breathwork Workshop"
    • Description (optional)
    • Location (optional) — venue or address
    • Starts at / Ends at — date and time
    • Ticket types — at least one; for each type you set:
      • Id — short identifier (e.g. general, vip)
      • Name — label shown to customers (e.g. "General Admission")
      • Price — in your account currency (£, $, etc.)
      • Capacity — max number of tickets for that type
    • Max tickets per order — limit how many tickets one customer can buy (default 10).
    • StatusDraft (hidden from the public) or Published (visible and bookable).
    • Show on main booking page - whether you want the event to also appear on your class booking page. If left off it will only appear on your /events page.
  2. Publish

Set status to Published when you're ready for tickets to be sold. Only published events appear on your events page and booking page.

  3. Edit anytime

Use Edit on an event to change title, description, location, times, ticket types, capacities, or status. Be careful reducing capacity below already-sold tickets.

What Events can do

  • Sell tickets for one-off events and workshops with Stripe (same payment setup as classes).
  • Multiple ticket types per event (e.g. General vs VIP) with different prices and capacities.
  • Per-type capacity — when a type sells out, it's no longer selectable; remaining counts are shown on the public page.
  • Discount couponspercentage or fixed-amount coupons can be applied at checkout. A 100% discount gives a free ticket (no payment). Session bundles apply to classes only; for events, discount coupons are used.
  • Buyer details — name and email required; optional attendee names when buying more than one ticket.
  • Confirmation and ticket link — after payment (or free booking), the buyer gets an email with event details and ticket summary, and a QR code that can be scanned on entry to check eligibility. You get a separate notification email for each order. Use the QR code to check eligibility.
  • Ticket page — scan the QR code to see a page with date/time, location, ticket type, quantity, and attendee names.
  • Orders in admin — view all orders for an event, search by buyer name or email, see ticket type, quantity, total, and payment status.
  • Cancel & refund — for Stripe payments you can use Cancel & refund in the Events tab. This refunds the payment and releases the tickets back into capacity. Refunds for other payment methods are handled in the provider's dashboard.
  • Export to CSV — export paid orders (ticket type, buyer name/email, quantity, total, date, additional attendees) for your records or check-in.

Designed for simplicity

Events is built for straightforward ticket sales — the kind needed when you run occasional workshops or one-off events alongside your regular classes. It covers the essentials (tickets, payment, confirmation, check-in) and is not meant to replace dedicated event platforms with advanced features like built-in reminders, waitlists, or complex recurring setups.
