How can clients update their membership payment details?

For memberships clients can manage their Stripe subscriptions in "My account" on your booking page.

Members can log in and view their memberships under the 'Memberships' tab of their account.

They should see two buttons against the membership:

  • Update payment method
  • Manage subscription

These take them to a Stripe portal page where they can update payment method or cancel their subscription.

For the Update payment method option to work it needs to be enabled in your Stripe dashboard settings:

  1. Go to Stripe Dashboard → Settings → Billing → Customer portal
  2. In the portal configuration, find the Payment methods section
  3. Turn on Allow customers to update their payment methods
