Can I import clients into Classta?
Yes. There are two ways to import clients:
1. Import clients directly (Clients tab)
Use the import feature in the Clients tab to import a list of clients without bookings. Upload a CSV with your client information.
2. Import clients via booking imports
Both import types can create clients if they don't already exist:
- Bookwhen Attendance Export: The attendance report includes client details (email, name, etc.), and clients are created automatically when you import bookings.
- Generic CSV Import: If your CSV includes client information (email, firstname, surname, phone), clients will be created or updated automatically based on email address.
You'll find the import button at the top of the Bookings tab.
In both cases, the system:
- Creates new clients if they don't exist (matched by email)
- Updates existing clients if information is missing (e.g., name or phone)
- Links all bookings to the correct client automatically
Recommendation: If you're migrating from Bookwhen, use the Bookwhen Attendance Export import—it handles both clients and bookings in one step. If you only need to import client information, use the Clients tab import feature.
